Bored, so you get a second posting from me today!

In 2012, I had discovered Ever An' Angel. They were my introduction to mesh clothing and I spent a more than a few Lindens there on several outfits that I loved.

I have a ball to attend next week so ballgowns have been on my mind. I had some pretty specific requirements for a gown: strapless yet modest, had to move well, and had to be reasonably priced as my budget is pretty tight these days.

I had received the gorgeous Siochain gown as a POE hunt gift from Ever An' Angel, but it was ice blue and I had burgundy in mind. I walked around the store drooling for a few minutes, and finally settled on Paparazzi. I'm a bird fanatic and this strapless gown has beautiful bird detailing on the skirt. I've inserted a separate shot of the back of the gown as well.

I especially like that this gown has an itty bitty waistline to it. I'm still struggling to lose 5 pounds after Thanksgiving and this gown just cinched my waist in - voila!

Paparazzi is priced at a reasonable L$500.

Ahhh, mesh. That which has given depth and shadows and true texture to our second lives. It's certainly made decorating my SL home a lot better - 114 prims to fully decorate a Linden home. Of course, I have to go to a sandbox to open bags that are more than 3 prims, but that's okay. That will change after my Christmas tree comes down!

Even better to a fashionista is that mesh has made clothing far more interesting. A little harder in same cases, as you hope that the designer has used "standard sizing" and the medium by one designer will fit you the same as a medium by another designer, and adding rather than wearing, but I'm learning.

One of my designer discoveries has been LivGlam. These girls obviously enjoy their work...a lot. They're currently part of the Finesmith Murder Mystery event, which runs until December 8. There's still time to get in on it. Each object will be for sale for 10L. The object will then give you that designer's gift, eliminate one of the suspects (check the texture for the list of suspects), and give you an idea of the next suspect you will encounter. One of LivGlam's releases during this event has been the cute dress I'm wearing here called "Glad to be Unhappy". Red and black are my power colors, so this dress spoke to me. A little sassy, definitely sexy, and very definitely "me". It also works well with a pair of black leggings under it. You can pick it up here, along with other releases during this hunt. Glad to be Unhappy sells for a modest L$199.

I've been in Second Life since June 16, 2007. I loved it passionately from the moment I arrived and never thought I'd leave it. I was positive that I'd be immune from the "5 year itch". Yet when that 5th rez day hit...I was done. I wanted out. I was tired of SL, tired of the people, tired of everything. I managed to hang on for a few more months, but then I broke. Completely. I left SL for over a year.

Now I'm back again and my, how the world has changed! Mesh is the big rage and was barely a blip on the grid when I left — and speaking of big, Lola's and Phat Azz...wow!

Clothing has always been my passion in SL and now that mesh is making everything more realistic, that passion is on fire! I promptly went through my wardrobe and gave away or threw away about 6,000 items since they just looked so 2009. I have no doubt that I'll build that back up in no time :)

Since it's really cold outside where I live today, I decided that a sweater would do the trick, so I dug out Gillian, the hunt gift from Felicia's Fashions. It looked so snug and warm that I headed straight to the prettiest winter sim I've seen yet, Winter Rock Festival 2013. If you haven't visited, be sure to take the tram and get the full view of the sim.

Gillian comes complete with the sweater, leggings, hat, mittens and boots. There's nice attention to detail on this one. I've always believed that hunts are a great way to discover new designers, and Felicia's is going to get a second look from me because of how well put together her gift was.
